The Back 40 Stage at Rasputins....

has wound up! Ron wishes to thank each and everyone who, over the past seven seasons, has come out and enjoyed this event - thank you all for participating and for supporting CKCU 93.1 FM. 
Beginning on September 13th. and the second week of each month thereafter, except December, May, June and July....

The Ottawa Valley Bluegrass Music Association will present the "Valley Grass Stage", hosted by Ron Moores. The stage will feature exclusively, bluegrass artists. 

Here are some details:

Format...

  • The season will consist of eight (8) evenings, September-May (excluding December) on a second Thursday of the month, 7:00-9:30 p.m.
  • There will be a featured act for each of the eight (8) evenings.
  • The featured act will be exclusively bluegrass.
  • The featured act will play two (2) short sets (30-40 minutes each), one at the beginning of the evening and one at the end of the evening.
  • Between sets, there will be an open mic format for bluegrass musicians to perform (3-4 songs each).
  • All proceeds from the event will go to the featured act of the evening. 
  • Ron Moores will host the evening.
  • Sound equipment will be provided.
  • Location: Rasputin’s Folk Café.
  • Date:  Second Thursday of each month September- May (excluding December). 
  • Time: 7:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

The Valley Grass Stage is a one-year experiment that may continue beyond one year if there is sufficient audience interest to keep it running.
